All Otarian foods and drinks are suitable for lacto-vegetarians. They contain no meat, fish or other animal derivatives, including by-products of slaughter.  They contain no egg or ingredients made from egg.

Otarian foods and drinks contain dairy products, made without the use of gelatine, animal rennet or other ingredients derived from slaughter.  Some Otarian foods do not contain dairy products or honey, so are suitable for vegans.

All Otarian foods are:

  • Free from insects
  • Free from slaughter by-products (animal or carcass fats, meat or bone stock, blood, gravies, gelatine, animal rennet) and any other ingredients resulting from slaughter
  • Free from additives and processing aids derived from slaughter

Otarian restaurants in London are approved by the Vegetarian Society.

In New York, Otarian restaurants are recommended by the American Vegetarian Association.
