Optimising Efficiency

To deliver a cost effective, enjoyable environment with minimal environmental impact, Otarian® values the optimisation of building design, with an emphasis on energy and water efficiency and enhancing the natural quality of the interior environment.

We optimise water and energy efficiency through:

• Good building design;
• Selecting equipment and processes with optimum rated energy efficiency, and prioritising equipment maintenance, as poorly functioning equipment is less energy and water efficient. We also consider the lifecycle cost of our equipment – if it is cheap to buy but not economical to run, over time it is more costly to both Otarian®’s profit margin and to the environment; and
• Devising energy and water conservation guidelines and procedures, and providing comprehensive staff awareness and training programmes on minimising energy and consumption across all operations.

Careful, well managed and modest energy and water use is integral to Otarian®’s environmental and economic sustainability. Our optimisation of building design, energy and water efficiency reduces our environmental impacts whilst minimising our water and energy costs.
